Quote: Send it to the jumpseat committee. I had this happen years ago. The fed offered to take the next flight. I later went into the FSDO with a nice thank you letter for his supervisor. They were really shocked that a pilot came in to say something nice.
They're used to 80 down there...

I apologize for the lack of excitement, but, where do you go again? Space? Isn't it like for just a moment? "there it is..." and back you come.

I bring the pain. Or am just really nice and give them the chance to be nice in return, and if not it degrades into reminding them of the rules. If it continues then it degrades just blatant passive aggressiveness...
Quote: The other night I was at the hotel and it was 1 in the am and Airplane! was on. On in its entirety without commercial interruption and no editing. Cuss words, in. Bouncing boobs, in. Uncovered boobs, in. Totally different movie then I remember after all of these years watching it on tv.

Anyways, Elaine Dickinson... no underboob. none. Flat as my back.

Glad to hear that about your back since we don't need any more back boob pictures.
Quote: That's my understanding reading the Reserve Utilization Order document from ALPA.

As to schedulers, in my experience they completely and utterly blow off anything you put in there. It should be 100% computerized. When someone's hand gets in the mix you're going to get screwed.

And you can't call them on it because when you do you'll get a "it's too late now." I've seen this on reserve AM/PM preferences too and have called about it. That they will adjust. But in my experience they're assigning stuff without looking.

But from the RUO document:

and

Jesse I highlighted in blue what I think answers your question best. I think this should be up on the ALPA website under Reserve Utilization Order and if not look up CA 09-12 and it's one of the documents in there.

But I can rewrite it to be a little more accurate:
I have had schedulers in the last two years try and do that. They have paid me every time when they did not honor the contract. If they are in violation of the contract call ALPA. Normally you wont even have to go the grievance route. In a few weeks you will get a call and receive pay for a missed trip or assignment pay for a incorrectly assigned trip.
Quote: Ohhhh, there's no doubt that a political discussion wouldn't last long. Hubby, to the right, is watching a Michael Moore docu-crappa on his IPad. Mummy, on the left, is watching Robert Klein comedy on the IFE. Snotty teenage kids are three rows back.

I'm watching Tracy Morgan on the IFE and surfing.
I was on a transcon DH the other day on a domestic 767 and all the content on the IFE was for a fee. Am I missing something? $6 for a movie wasn't going to happen.

Is there free content on the IFE that I just wasn't finding? Even the TV shows were $2.

Would these be flown by us? Or, will they be given to AK???

Satellite tv, music, and some games are free.

Leine, I've never had a problem with free IFE if the aircraft is truly domestic. The 75 I was on today was a -200 with the international IFE setup, no satellite TV but some free stuff and some pay per view stuff. I think, but can't say for sure, that some of our international jets are still only capable of the pay per view stuff.
