How much more life do the 757s have in pax service before they have to be replaced?
Some of the early ones (ie 55xx from the NWA side) not so much. But, the 757-300s and the 565x 757-200s are very young. How old were the ones Momma D got from TWA?

What is going to be a pain in the arse is jumpseating. I flew home on SWA from SLC to PHX last week and thought I was going to die, and that was only an hour something. The other guy took pity on my tallness and let me have the seat in front of the cockpit door even though he was first to sign up. I'm tempering my Skywest comments for awhile

One question. We have 134 752s that are not 753s or ERs.

We have 32 DC95s and 117 MD88s that will need to replaced by some sort of NB replacement aircraft.

We're going to replace 283 airplanes with 200 airplanes?

Of which, 100 are going to be 739s that scream "dear passenger, we don't like you and we don't like you to be able to see out the window, please enjoy the view of what's directly beneath the airplane."

Boeing 100
Passengers 0
Delta Pilots ?

yippee.

I did a quick analysis of the stage lengths of the various Boeing's flying tonight. These numbers include pax and cargo, international flights, and some flights within foreign countries. All data is from flightaware.com, and is barely scientific.

Aircraft Avg. flight time
B737-700 2:48
B737-800 3:17
B737-900 3:45
B757-200 4:16
B757-300 4:28
B767-300 6:42

Speaking of flightaware, looks like A321s that "cannot" fly a transcon have no problem doing PHL-SFO.

USAir has been flying the A-321s on transcons since the 90s.

You don't say, because someone said:

The current A321 can not even do a transcon. With the Sharklets it will make it load restricted. We are looking for a jet in 2013. .
But obviously, the A321 can do it. It's doing it right now.

Oh well, it's too late now, looks like were about to announce the order tomorrow for 100 737-900s to replace I guess 134 757s.

Default And now for something completely different.

Sorry to interrupt the aircraft order talk, but what is the deal with the employee line at MSP? There were about 40 people in line today including about 8 kids, 5 senior citizens, and three dudes in Hawaiian shirts. I guess its open for non-revs, families of non-revs, and finally - people who know non-revs also?
