Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I agree with the Ice Machines. There are two new types of systems that are gold if in the right location.
I Illness Do I have an illness or any symptoms of an illness?
M Medication Have I been taking prescription or over-the-counter drugs?
S Stress Am I under psychological pressure from the job? Worried about financial matters, health problems or family discord?
A Alcohol Have I been drinking within eight hours? Within 24 hours?
F Fatigue Am I tired and not adequately rested?
E Eating Am I adequately nourished?

Can we use LAVS, it works, fleet commonality!? No? MAAAAAAP?
I always thought a college town would be perfect. Lots of kegs. Now a college town near a lake. Gold mine. Beach too.
A stagnating FO at Southwest is averaging 145,000 per year and averaging 18 days off per month. Average! That's only about 40,000 per year less than I make and I'm at the top of the heap here at DAL.
The sad truth is that most DAL pilots won't ever get to the top wrung of the ladder, and as such, will make less money than a stagnating Southwest FO.

And check your PMs Carl
The problem is... try telling that to DALPA. They will tell you how good you have it... how great they've done for you. They'll tell you that times are tough and our company needs to have cost advantages in order to be competitive. And if you complain too much, they'll tell you that you're a "malcontent" and that if you're so unhappy you should find something else to do for a living.
They won't actually come out and say it in so many words... but what they are really telling you is to not expect too much. Restoration? Forget it! It's not even a consideration by this MEC.

The first two sentences and the last paragraph of your OP sure does reek of not having any verifiable truth behind it, and I have never seen any facts/evidence to back up that members of the current MEC have that attitude.
Sooooo....If you wrote isn't factual then I use that quote as a fact, am I being factual or not?

In my personal experience, each time I've had a chance to address a rep regarding how bad the PWA is right now and that I had many provisions in my regional airline contract that were far superior to the DAL PWA, they agreed and they are not happy with the status quo either. When queried about the goals for the next PWA, it has been made abundantly clear that they will not determine the negotiating goals of the NC without the results from the contract survey. To do otherwise would be acting outside the will of the pilots.
STOP SPREADING RUMORS/LIES about what the MEC is aiming for!!!!
I don't know, you don't know, and they don't know what the opener will be yet!
Until the survey results are complied we do not know how much the pilots want in vague or specific terms, and to spread rumors and commentary otherwise is disingenuous at best, an attempt to manage expectations, and at worst an effort to undermine the efforts of the MEC to put more money in our wallets and improve the lives of Delta Pilots.

In TX they have a vending machine type deal like this that makes a killing with all of the oil and natural gas workers. The line at those in the mornings is at least 10 deep. (They also all buy 50 lbs a piece)

no offense taken. Imo that is why they hire us to do this job, we intrinsically have a desire to get the job done. Throw in some new hire cool-aid and you have a highly motivated individual. Really sad that this went from a great career to a job.
Btw, what is the IMSAFE checklist, I must have missed the memo. Maybe it wasn't on the CD this quarter!

Anyways, is been covered but I learned it as this:
Illness
Medication
Stress
Alcohol
Fatigue
Emotion(Cloudy thoughts)
If I'm not free of all of those things, it's a no go.

Not to mention that when SWA does grow the network, they are the ones growing. Not outsourcing it to RJs (which they just awesomely dumped!) or all sorts of foreign carriers.
Kind of makes sense to have one company do almost every function, instead of calling for potable water and having the request go through employees at three or four different companies.
