Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Sorry if you feel that way, but I am convinced (by experience) that our PWA is substandard in several areas to include scope, compensation, work rules, medical, sick leave and retirement. I am not prepared to take less in one area of the contract to compensate for others. It is time for our pilot group to take back what we have invested to make the company successful (at one point even liquid). I do not necessarily advocate taking a militant stance and I am willing to allow "constructive engagement" to work for awhile. However, I will not hesitate to let my union know what I expect of the next PWA.

One advantage of having to get up every morning during the week: Stephanie Abrams bringing me the weather. It appears she might take some motivating for her to get her 80 on after what I did to Jenna Fischer, but I think I can pull a newK mind trick:
What is she saying? That I would bring an EF-4 to her room?

Just saw Moneyball. There was a good line towards the end... something to the effect of "You don't do it for the money... you do it for what the money says about you: It says, 'you're worth it'."
I loved (not really) their direction to use "absolutely critical" judiciously. Cant a lot of things be "absolutely critical?" I think so. Like, almost all of them?

As I did that survey, I realized how bad our contract is. I put down 60 percent in the raise column up front with 5 percent for subsequent years. I was reasonable and honest.

>39% paycut
>what are you paying for health care these days---it certainly ain't a $20 co-pay like we had at one time. I'm spending about $4000 a year on my family...
>retirement. What retirement???? Got a "B" fund, no pension....
>scope....Does anybody like parking next to an E175, and realize that's our regional partner's aircraft???
Hockeypilot44, your survey results are very reasonable. At least the part of it I've seen.

Just my opinion here, but isnt DAL big enough to self insure? Yes
Does DAL self insure? Yes
UHC administers DALs insurance program
Health insurance improvements are a no cost item which structured as they are put a price tag on the insurance. It is really no different that the fee for departure contracts outsourced to DCI. We bear the cost, but charge ourselves for the program to make the books prettier.
I repeat, no cost to change the system. However, an accountant could/would disagree.
There will be a short countdown after which I will be told how oh so wrong I am.
