Forgive my ignorance but I just don't see it in any post.
I need a straight answer.

Spelling Nazi alert:

It's "do do do, DA DA DA"

The Police - De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da - YouTube

Where is Tsquare when you need him??

"La La La" would be the French version. And did you hear? Carla Bruni just had my baby? And Oh Yeah, I smoked Gadafi earlier this morning too.

Yeah...that's the ticket!

Sir:

Subcontracting of our lift. It really is not given, but DCI and Code Shares are Subcontracting out part of our lift.

Love it.

Anyone else get a blast ALPA email about PCL/MSA vacation sell back this morning?

If they can't even get their email right, how effective can they be when it comes to keeping our interests straight from all the regionals now under the same umbrella.

Had to laugh, but really?

If the company wants to make this a policy because they feel it will build goodwill and attract/retain talent and make for happier employees, great! Gordon Bethune used to buy new cars to give away to employees with perfect attendance. But he did it because he wanted to because he saw a ROI in doing so. The pilots didn't buy them for everyone.

I just thought it was odd that such a random third tier issue was embedded in lines of questioning that tried to get us to choose between scope and pay, retirement and work rules, etc. The survey was very much a "the pie is only so big so what do you want and what can you live without" and yet here is this interesting but extremely low priority issue.

Fix pay, scope, work rules and retirement and we could afford our own tickets...although if, after all that, the company still wanted to offer them as a perk, rock on!
You do make a good point... I would put it way, way down the list. But if it's not unreasonable after everything else gets covered, this could be worth a lot. Not even so much for vacation purposes, but it'd be nice to know for sure you can get a family member somewhere every so often.

I hear ya. Take the kids to Monkey Joe's, let them get everyone else sick. It is always a short walk from your house to McDonald's too.

Dirty little secret....

Southwest "Quarterly revenue rose 35% to $4.3 billion." I wonder where THAT all came from?!

vs. AA quarterly rev up about 9%

When's the media going to pick up on the fact that darling has lost her allure? And when will she cease to be labeled an LCC?

(let's see if I can give a good link)

P.S. finally got my survey done last night. Then watched part of Runaway Jury - kind of a double dose of civic duty.

That revenue jump may be how they are reporting ATN's revenue too. I agree their old business model is dead, but we knew that.
