So basically we'll never know.

On top of what you already put. Point was that, if you compare the cost per employee to the airline of choice, they make significantly more than we do. It is also why we fly more block hours but have EASK's. They get the big jets that fly less block, which can spread their costs out over more seats.

My friends that are in Europe make about 13K-16K USD a month before taxes (AF/KLM/BA etc), and they pay no health care, no retirement funding, have way better trip rigs, more vacation, etc. (Tax rate varies but is between 40-55%)

Ryan Air pilots make about 250K USD a year to compare it.

I say for argument's sake, up your percentage by at least 20%.
Funny, I just did that, well close to it.

It's almost mandatory. If you truthfully say that your opener does not contain any "throw-away" items, nobody will believe you, so you might as well include some.
There's also a psychological value in letting the other side win a few points if it helps you win the match. They have to "save face" too, and a cave-in won't do it for them, or for a mediator. Ideally, each "trade" you make should be accompanied by loud groans and quiet grins.

Well, if Ferd is bringing the beer and knowing some of the other yahoos on this board, I think your kids will have lots of company at those hours.

Are they seriously telling us that the AF KLM pilots would not allow a couple of general statements about their pay in relation to ours? Ie, they are paid an average of X % more per hour while working Y days average per month? They accrue Z % more vacation, etc?

Too unbelievable for me to believe. DPA is getting another card.

Just a reminder: Sending in your DPA card is NOT equivalent to sending in your absentee ballot. You are sending in your voter registration card - saying you want a chance to choose your representation. Pass it on!
