Well if ya'll wouldn't measure everything between DAL-HOU and treat CST/CDT like it's GMT, that might help.

Couple of things. First, the guy does not support anything other than ALPA. Period. Second, it is not peeing on someone to point out that he called himself a DPA supporter, then later said he would reconsider supporting DPA in the very same post. That's called inconsistency.

I've gotten these kinds of comments from the very beginning of the DPA thread. It goes something like this: "Hey Carl, I'm a fence sitter with the DPA but you really need to stop insulting ALPA or it might make me just support ALPA..." Then when you look at the guy's previous posts, you see he's a long time ALPA supporter with no intention of ever giving DPA a serious look. Do you see how nobody should take that kind of comment seriously? A deep ALPA supporter claiming to be a DPA fence sitter telling people to stop insulting ALPA? Even when you're no insulting ALPA, just posting FACTS about ALPA?

Whether you really are considering DPA or not is immaterial to me. I call things as I see them, and post the evidence to back up my claims. I would expect nothing less from you. Furthermore, if you post facts about DPA that showed it in a bad light, I would NEVER refer to your actions as "hurling insults" in an attempt to marginalize what you posted. Instead, I would look at your facts and see if I needed to re-evaluate my support of DPA. That's the way I run my show. You run yours the way you wish.

You should be a DPA supporter because ALPA can't represent everyone's interests all if the time. The mainline guys want different things than the RJ guys, and there are more RJ guys at ALPA overall probably. Conflict of interest. Also, ALPA has really been managing expectations for this upcoming contract, even though we all know about the huge profits (via bag fees especially) and that we're still on a hugely concessionary contract. They said during the last one, the joint contract, that we would get a lot more this time due to the $2 billion or so extra dollars thanks to the added "synergies" from the merger........ I'm waiting.....this had better be a great TA. No pressure!

Smear campaign by DALPA? What the hell is DPA doing???
Putting out documentary evidence of what ALPA has done to TWA pilots, their own in-house union, and sanctions against ALPA attorneys is NOT a smear campaign. It is the disclosure of fact. Would you rather not know these things about your current union?

Many of us have studied your contract and know a lot about what's in it. Speaking of anthropologists, it would be nice if your contract was "so easy, even a caveman could understand it."

When we get things wrong, please continue to set us straight. For the most part, facts really do matter around here.

I thought we already covered this on the regional board...

Kirk didn't actually drive, Sulu did.

And Sulu can take the pounding.

In all fairness... click on our live contract on DeltaNet and look through section 1. With all the crap that has been MOU'd without membership approval you need a PHD to figure out what the heck they did.

You crack me up Boomer. You're going to keep reminding us of this joke until we give it the proper respect...aren't you!

No argument there!

Glad at least our ALPA lawyers understand it. Oh wait.

Default Company provided life insurance.

A quick look at the Open Enrollment stuff shows $1M of extra coverage for a non-tobacco 36 year old male to be $24.50/mo, which comes out to just shy of $300/year. Any opinions on this option versus something like a level term policy (ends up being around $350/yr). How much can I expect the $24.50 to go up year over year? Is the company insurance a decent deal, or does it get exponentially more expensive over time?

Thanks.

edit: Nevermind. That's $24.50 per pay period. Big difference.
