Just a question for the 7ER guys.
What is a commonly used headset on the fleet? The Telex 750? NWA used to provide those, but I don't imagine that has been maintained since the merger. I'm wondering if I need to buy my own pair? Also, would the 7ER guys on reserve recommend signing up for Global Entry? Thanks in advance. Global entry is the best $100 you will ever spend. When you get stuck at T4 behind a M-R-Rats 380 crew getting photographed, finger printed and probably DNA tested, you will know why. |

Lots of ER trips (at least LA) have one more leg after the international entry so it's not as big a deal as say getting off a super premium WB and running for your commute (as someone else mentioned). Enjoy the ER...........I left you some underboob hidden in the cockpit. You just have to find which jet and where before a female FO does:eek: Your Uncle Ferd |

It is the expidited entry kiosk at Customs, which allows you to bypass standing the the sometimes very long crew line (ATL, early morning or late afternoon) and just get your 'ticket' from the kiosk and blow...if the kiosk is working that is!

About 20% of the time in the ATL they are not working. Last week, after I came in from Joburg, I went to get on my 07:45am commute to MCO, which was a 767-300. It had been "oversold" but we left with 70, yes SEVENTY open seats (and I sat in F/C, first time in about a year) because...drum roll please...the Computers were down in Customs (including the Global Entry) and the 70 customers were Stuck in Customs.
Gotta love the World Port. "Delta, We're not happy until You're not happy!" and of course; D.oesn't E.ver L.eave T.he A.tlanta. |

Sounds like the UFLYMIKE setup is gaining popularity too. Nice thing is you have a nice pair of Bose QC15's for the rest period and overnights. Yes they are TSO'd now.

Where is the projected list from this last AE?? Thanks for info
And yes get GLOBAL ENTRY |
It should be on the DLNET page, Flight ops, right hand side, there are the projections for the previous bid as well I think.

I have an 850 and love it. I'll also point out that the pmDelta 757s also have the DCs for domestic/Hawaii flying which is why I broke down and got mine. I was ok with the DCs on international flights for the short time you wear it, but domestic or going in and out of LAX was literally a pain:D Also, overseas with a funny sounding controller, having the noise cancel helps with understanding "what he say"?

They are only TSO'd if you use the internal ear buds. I have yet to see a pilot actually use them.
Thanks again for all the input. |
