Now I know why the road to the employee lot in DTW is called Eureka Road. If your car makes it to the parking lot without getting swallowed whole in a pot hole then:

EUREKA!!

We at Delta should be watching how ALPA comes through with the UNCAL merger. If there is a major slip up there we might as well kiss our 2012 goodbye.

Possibly, but will UCAL even try for a completely revamped SWA+ contract, or will they be pressured to give an extension for 5% COLAs for a few years and some stock equity just to get the deal done? I think that's far more likely but we'll see. American was supposed to have a home run FedEx+ contract by last September and that didn't exactly pan out. I'm not too optimistic for a whole lot of piggybacking for this round. Except, of course, SWA plus reasonable premiums and scope. That's a given.

When you check your schedule via the app, does it register with the company that you've checked your schedule?

Yes - it accesses DBMS which would record each time you log in.

Hey, I've never checked this before... If you check the VRU on your phone for "next rotation or training activity", does that time/date show up on your schedule in DBMS as having checked it then?

Call scheduling and have them move your x-days. They will do it, its not automatic.

It does not show up on your schedule but it logged by the computer. Checked is different than "viewed." Persnickety lawyers.

Who knows, the wheels seem to be coming off the bus, and then I talk to one of the Reps from each side, and they paint a totally different picture than we see. They are untied against the company on getting a good contract. We will see if they cave or keep on fighting.

Can we get ALPA to hire some of those to help us (not us and DCI....just US)?

Why should we need to wonder "if" he has any intestinal fortitude?

Do you mean to say it's possible that our chairman might not have it? The fact that there's any doubt whatever at this stage is pathetic...and don't think the company doesn't know it.

Time for another bargaining agent.
