I couldn't wait for the weekend to post this. Scary. They could use her on the O line next year.

Looks like a 757 went for a sleigh ride in DTW. Luckily, sounds like no damage or injuries:

I believe it was a MD-90.

That's what I saw at first too. But Delta.com - flight status shows it was a 757. Plus, I'm pretty sure we don't fly the 90 on LAS-DTW.

It was a MD90 yesterday, a 757 today, and an Airbus tomorrow according to FlightAware.

Wonder how well the field is maintained?

If she can chop block she'll fit right in on that o line. :D

I'm trying to figure out though if that's more scary than this? I have to say its close.

Just looking at a couple of those AvHerald stories.
One stands out. The Singapore 777 that went off the runway in Munich.
Must have been a scary ride taking that big airplane "off-road" at that speed.

What is really strange though, is the First Officer:
35 years old. 3600 hours total flight time. All of it in 777s.
Can that be right? Maybe they aren't reporting military time or something.
Or maybe they do things different in Asia. ??? Some kind of ab-initio program?
Anybody know?

Incident: Singapore B773 at Munich on Nov 3rd 2011, runway excursion

He was "undisposed" during the landing.

I.e., being "attended to" by a couple of SA flight attendants. :D Can you blame him?
