Just looking at a couple of those AvHerald stories.
One stands out. The Singapore 777 that went off the runway in Munich.
Must have been a scary ride taking that big airplane "off-road" at that speed.

What is really strange though, is the First Officer:
35 years old. 3600 hours total flight time. All of it in 777s.
Can that be right? Maybe they aren't reporting military time or something.
Or maybe they do things different in Asia. ??? Some kind of ab-initio program?
Anybody know?

Incident: Singapore B773 at Munich on Nov 3rd 2011, runway excursion

Bizzare. A case of don't put your jepps away on rollout? I kid. So the AP took them into the dirt?

BTW, Captain was 45 and the FO was 35.

I said I was. Just didn't think I'd find a perfect use so soon.

With that avherald.com put Delta in the search engine.

And yes they mix DCI in there. Which reminds me of de-icing in SYR. "Delta 788, who is your operator?" "Delta." "Delta 788, who is your operator?" "Delta Air Lines." "Delta 788... confirm Delta Air Lines is your operator?" "If you're talking to the MD-88, yes, operated by Delta Air Lines." ?

But here is one gem, a 763 landing flaps up.

That's what I saw at first too. But Delta.com - flight status shows it was a 757. Plus, I'm pretty sure we don't fly the 90 on LAS-DTW.

It was definitely an MD 90. I was supposed to take the airplane when it came in. That didn't happen! Had to change flight to an 88. Four hours late. By the way, was anyone else in DTW last night? the ramps(and taxi ways) were basically ice skating rinks. A Delta flight came into the ramp to park, and I heard ramp tower say "Delta ____ You may want to get towed in, I see you sliding around out there" And the Delta flight replied that they were single engine so that was why they were sliding sideways! yikes. The ice was the worst on the gate side of the zipper line. It took us 4 tries, twice with chains on the tug to get pushed back.

Hmm, I wonder who's (whose) airplane that is?

You can never tell from inside the plane... until winglets.

Here's the video from it yesterday. Well, basically of it sitting there. Eying the fire truck. It's still an 88 at heart, it don't care, it will eat fire trucks.

Delta plane skids off runway after landing in Detroit

Without knowing what happened I believe that without a shadow of a doubt this is Detroit and Southwest's fault.

It's a good thing he wasn't taxiing fast.

At 88mph, you would've seen something really cool when all those gigawatts hit that leading edge...
