BTW, I thought for sure the quote: "I was unavoidably detained......." would amuse Carl Spackler of all people, surely you haven't forgotten?

Ya know, that just gave me a random thought.

The average height man today is 5'10"
The average height of a pilgrim male was 4'10"
Goliath was /is portrayed to be 9' tall - height was measured in cubits (the average length of a forearm). I'm thinking he was 6'5"

Back to picking apart the chairman's letter - which BTW did seem to portray that we may have some leverage - today.

Oh I am sure he will have some "justification" to prove he didn't say what we all know he said...

Who were the guys saying we would never see the opener?

They are the ones that will now change their plan of attack to that of.. well.. attack dog.. "It isn't ambitious enough" "We only asked for THAT????" I can hear the outrage now...

Suffice it to say, no crow will be eaten, no contrition will be offered.

We get an email stating a bunch of "maybes" and we're going ape sh!t. Talk about a group with unbelievably lowered expectations. We're so starved for communication, this throwaway email has guys lined up to buy a yacht and move to Miami.

If DALPA gets the contract we demand, AND NOT BEFORE, I will be first in line to eat that crow. We're a LONG way from that right now.

So in the words of Mr. Wolf, "Let's not start sucking each others' d!cks quite yet."

....and yet another classy post. thanks for sharing your insipid thoughts.

Its pretty complicated - Something about Godzilla Defense Plan number 4 authorizing the JSDF CRAF agreement with DAL to activate, authorizing 12 DAL 747s to fly Navy Seal teams over to take out GZ.

In other words - I also have no idea what the Japanese government has to do with the Chairman's letter but it surely must involve Godzilla in some way. :)

Actually that is how Delta has generally done it in the past, and for the most part it has worked out better than whatever NWA was doing.

Impossible. Carl and bacon bits will be along shortly to explain that to you.

DALPA Opener

Hmmmm - Something sounds familiar about this topic - From last month:

The problem is that DALPA will not release the opener. We'll only see a TA to vote on later. And that's only if DALPA doesn't agree to a short term extension with a pay bump.

Carl

Carl,

I believe that we will get the opener after it has been exchanged with the company. Time will tell.

Scoop

That was from February.

Now the question is - how detailed will the opener be?? I agree with ACL - it will be "conceptual" in nature and leave a lot to the imagination - but if it works, I am OK with it.
