Agreed. They bring a lot to the table and sooner is better for everyone than later. All they have to do is run a handfull of new hire classes (or one big class) and the whole list if buffed 20%, 30% or more and will keel haul us in a relative integration with new hired jumping 12 year guys on our side. And I really don't see how scope relief plays into this situation anyway.

Sure, but with 500 total pilots, will 50-100 "jumping" really make much of a difference? In any case, it's out of our hands.

Disagree. They BOTH are a must. This "conceptual opener" better have something more specific than the vague "improvements" (which could be 1%) to pay and scope.

You're right...I forgot that line.

Ashamed and embarrassed. :o

Lesson learned: If you're using Crossover with Easybid, don't install that new version of Crossover. Save yourself the time and frustration and stick with the old version that works.

thanks--was contemplating installing the new version, and now I won't!

Really? There's no emoticons so I can't tell if you're trying to be funny, but really?

Just in case it was a serious question, tell me again the differences between LGW and LHR. You might also do a little research on the history of the DAL FRA hub.

A previous poster has it right. Incremental opening of Haneda would allow the two immunized JV's (ANA/UAL and JAL/AMR) which control 96% of the slots to kill Delta's NRT hub.

....or what?

Who cares, really...... A TA is the only set of conditions that will matter to you and me and the other 12,000 guys.

The C20 Chairman didn't say, or I'm not seeing it in the text above, that the membership would "never" see the opener. Where are you reading the word, "never" Carl?

You're implying from the text that you'd never see it, and putting words into the C20 Chairman's Letter, and ultimately "union mouth".

Sorry again, but the opener will be shown, and you misunderstood the letter.

GJ

You're embarrassing yourself.

I'll leave it to others to decide how close my recollection was.

True, but the argument has been made that we won't achieve any MORE than we ask for. Why would the company offer MORE pay or BETTER scope than we asked for in the opener?

This is why guys are so rabid about seeing the opener. It sets a high water mark for the best we'll be able to do. And everyone has to expect that we will have to come to the middle, just like management will.

So the answer is, we should ALL care. If we come in and ask for status quo on scope, or a 5% raise, the company will probably say DEAL!

Of course we can vote down a crappy TA, but I think most guys want to be encouraged by our opener and solidify their belief (my opinion) that our NC and MEC won't send down a crappy contract for vote.

Having talked to the reps and the chair of the NC, I am confident they will not send us a piece of crap to vote on. I have left every one of those conversations/phone calls/emails feeling much better than I did before the conversation. They get it.

Time will tell...

Unreal. You don't even remember what I've written. But I'm glad you're happy with this new "concept".

Yes t...the company loves you. They're only looking out for your best interests. You are family.
