You gotta love it! Now with regard to the actual substance:

1. For at least the 12th time, I don't need to eat crow for a statement I didn't make. I quoted the Council 20 chairman who said in writing: "...and of course we will not be sharing the opener with the membership. That would be like showing your hand in poker."

2. After even a cursory glance at the MEC Chairman's letter, it is clear that the Council 20 chairman was correct. I'll explain in detail by quoting the key paragraph in a follow on post.

How did I know you were going to find some way to spin your incessant prior huffing and puffing? I told you numerous times that you were wrong, yet your anger blinds you from appropriately being able to sort things out. So, your dinner awaits:

So, what if the economy really is turning ...

Doing my usual hack job of parsing monthly economic data ... and it looks, dare I say, ... the economy is turning around?

Unemployment data remained steady, but only because a half million Americans re-entered the work force and this, in Feb-ru-ugly. Spring usually brings more jobs, which seems to roughly coincide with daylight savings time and folks in general breaking out of the winter gloom to consume like a bear out of hibernation. Other barometers are picking up, in spite of high fuel prices, like truck sales. This generally means folks who use trucks (real ones, body on frame & vinyl seats) are going to work.

Personally, I'm finding it hard to find reasonably priced real estate to fix & flip. Cash buyers and rental property investors are bidding what was fix and flip properties out of sight (up 120% in this very small sample).

Delta management says "it is easy to add capacity." Well, here's to hoping they read the tea leaves like I do and they decide to fly airplanes. I prefer flying to doing my own sheet rock work.

Of course, these days, I'm not above believing that Goldman Sach's is playing us like a piano and they are laying on short positions on positive news.

Job Growth Stays Solid, Bringing People Back To The Hunt, As Unemployment Rate Holds - Investors.com

I don't know what is a turn around at this point, long term growth to me would be a turn around and we don't have that. Temp jobs kick in and people who gave up looking and had been removed from the U3 equation are back. Gallup does a survey just like the government but without having the slop of seasonally adjusted numbers and they put unemployment at 9.1% up from 8.6% in January. That's rough.

Plus $3.66/gal for gas at my house. Nothing will kill the economy more than that because unlike the energy secretary most of us all have cars and all of us buy food shipped in by diesel. Of course thanks to Kroger I work hard to get my $1/gal off!

Still. We've got the flu but we're at work anyways. Not as bad as 2008-2009, but still the flu.

I declare myself the winner, I'm down 12 lbs in 5 days.

Yes I'm plugging my weight loss program here. I'm thinking of running a banner ad.

What is it? How did I do it?

Stomach bug.

It's a real pain in the ass though but it works. :(

There is one in the Delta museum in Atlanta. Not sure it's "beautifully restored" per se. But it could use a buddy.

I don't know how grown men fit in those things though.

McDonald's was founded in 1955. Link Trainers sold 1934 - late 50's.

Correlation? ;)

73M - no where near a 32" waist.

To most of us that is true, but there is a group out there that is hell bent to burn witches, so the openers provide them with a reason to do so.. sad, but true.
