LAX NRT back to the Whale!
That's good news traffic wise because we've been running capacity rather tight...
Cheers

I'm not against getting an extension (that's what she said?) but we need to make some measurable inroads to scope recapture at all levels (RJ, AS, JV). AS needs some serious limits as well as guaranteed DL metal on routes once they meet certain frequency/density metrics. At least half the LA-SEA, one BOS-SEA and half the mainline SFO-SEA and LA should be DL equipment. ATL-SEA should be removed from the code share. If that is unacceptable to management then they need to merge. The 255 number of large RJ's needs to be reduced by several dozen even for a quick extension and the 76 seaters need to go away immediately even if they have to pull seats. And we need protections for JV partners present and especially future as the ones we don't have yet are the real threat.
But if we see a pay raise with little to nothing else dangled in front of us, we are clearly being set up for something.
Front page of DeltaNet has a story about profit sharing checks.
Are we getting a paper check? Not direct deposit? Story makes it sound that way.
“Because about 96% of our normal check distribution each month is via direct deposit, this is definitely a one-of-a-kind event for us each year. But of course we’re excited under the circumstances, and we’re really looking forward to next week’s celebrations.”

Actually, I just heard one. I usually don't trade in speculation that is so unfounded it isn't even on APC yet, but I couldn't resist. Early out program to be announced in less than two weeks, 73 points to qualify, and rumored to have a medical sweetener to haste exits....
But then again....I did believe in Santa and the Easter Bunny until high school....

Let me get this straight: You are ridiculing me for not being satisfied with our health plan, compensation, and representation.
I guess my goal of attaining significant improvements across the board, and being willing to fight for those improvements, is somehow at odds with your perverse view of a benevolent, God-like Delta, who, with DALPA at its right hand, will always take care of you.
Folks like you are why we'll never be able to negotiate the contract we want.

I'm guessing the "Points" are; age plus longevity?
Which, if the 73 number is correct, makes it available to anyone age 50+ with 23+ years of service, or a combination thereof, to equal 73 or above.
Geeze, I've got 78 Points...but no Frozen DB plan, or I'd be on a boat in Sint Maaten, if they'd cover the medical premiums!

If you receive your regular check via direct deposit, the profit sharing will be distributed the same way, per the article on travel net.
wrt to a supposed early out offer, why would the company offer this to our working group? Having trouble with scheduling with too many over 60 guys on same rotations? Sick calls too high on the larger jets? They would incur very large training costs to replace the early outs so I am having a hard time believing this one to be feasible, at least for now.
