I think our friend FTB has been around the cat ranchers so long, he's begun to fantasize about them. Look at the Hoodie Footie he ordered his wife for Valentine's Day!:

I think an intervention is in order.

Look at our revenue momentum. We are now on solid financial footing and have all the pieces in place to act as a buyer and consolidator rather than a target for fragmentation.
Wow alfa, you do give a guy a lot to chew on, but I do agree with you on revenue and the solid footing the company has going forward. My heartburn with you and your ilk is the seeming acceptance of "industry standard" compensation going forward also. The membership is pushing because we are not feeling lead - I know what leadership looks and feels like and I haven't felt it here, yet. That is way at the top of my wish list. I should have put that in my survey.

The rules are in place to eject all the committee people, LEC reps, MEC hangers on... and all the rest of the entrenched people you love to hate. Heck, you have the power to pull the plug on their 87 hour "average" pay...you could even set it to zero.

It's right there, in black and white...published right on the MEC website. You have the means of FREE communication to oganize your little band of merry men...back in the day, the APA guys did it with long distance they had to pay for, and mimeograph machines that cost real money to operate.

You guys can't even put together a flash mob for the MEC meeting to tell them how you really feel because everyone is too busy with their side gig, home business, soccer practice, remodeling the den, or trimming the herbacious borders. So you reap what you sow, and have the nerve to complain about it when the very people you espose to hate poke you with a stick through the cage bars.

Real change requires real action, and not just a bunch of caterwalling on a free internet forum by a clutter of cats.

Man up, or sierra tango foxtrot uniform.

Nu

Have to agree with Nu here - It would be nice if the level of whining on this thread could be reduced a bit. Most of us can agree - we are stagnating, our pay sucks, outsourcing is killing us etc. Repeating it daily will not make it go away -for the most part you are preaching to the choir on this forum.

I personally think the jury is still out on the new reserve system - lets give it a few months and see what happens. Standing by for incoming on this one.

One thing guys should remember is that most Pilots on out list have gone through the exact same thing at some point in their career.

Junior Guys - We have all seen tough periods in our careers although some things are unique such as the age 65 rule, stagnation, contraction, and backwards movement are not new.
Senior Guys - Give the junior guys some slack. These forums allow many thoughts that would never have been expressed back in 1992 to be seen by thousands instantly.

This.....but cheerleading is a man law violation.

However, is does speak directly to why Im not making serious posts anymore. I thinks we just feed each other's depression.

Just as much as they think for you!!

Mongo only pawn.... in game of life.

I still stand by my request for EVERY SINGLE DPA member volunteer to serve on the Strike Preparedness Committee beginning on the week leading up to the exchange of openers.

Want to show leverage for the contract we deserve?

Put your efforts into sending the company (and the MEC/NC) a message that they can hear loud and clear!

FUPM!!!!

Mongo, a lot of us have been on SPC, and at least 4000 have be on strike. Its one thing to be on a committee, its another to vote for it and than actually do it. Not saying...better to go to the art sale now.

Friday night should be a beer and under-boob (or, whatever we're allowed to post nowadays) night anyway.

If you are at the Rusty Spur, I've got a message from an Old Rodeo Clown to pass along, Ferd.
