50 seaters could be left alone to wither on the vine with a shrinking cap matched to current levels. Zero cost.

51-76 seater contracts are forbidden to be entered into or extended, and existing contracts forced to be cancelled at an agressive but controllable rate to allow transition to the DL pilot list. Using a B scale should be avoided, but used if there is no other way to get that flying back. Controllable cost.

We allow Skyteam and even Alaska and Hawaiian flying, but with strict limits. There is no reason why we should code with 2 BOS-SEA flights. Cut it down to one and if we need more we do one. LA-SEA is limited to 2 or 3 AS flights with 50 seats on each. Any more and we put our metal on it. The truly niche markets like Prudhoe Bay and Walla Walla can remain as is until total demand gets to above a fair, predetermined level. Controllable cost and actually significantly increased revenue assuming we can compete with AS as they are by no means some invincibile force that dominates an entire coast without contest.

Skyteam is fine as well, we just need a fair balance. 49.75 becomes 50.00 for AF/KLM/AZ and the balance period is for at least 6 months out of 12 each and every year including at least one peak summer month.

Every new Skyteam carrier will naturally come with promoses of network growth from management, so we make them quantify said growth and put it in writing.
As usual, Gloopy nails it.

I see no TOS violation, it's simply a picture of Camelus bactrianus - two humps and a camel toe.

EDIT - that is the actual name for a two humped camel - I did not realize the pronunciation of the second word until posted. We could get a lot of punch line mileage out of "2 humps and a camel toe"

Sounds like how my trips are constructed.

Of course these guys were in a fine mood. Can't blame them.
Those airplanes were originally at Comair, and were taken away during bankruptcy negotiations and given to ASA, resulting in the furlough of 60 pilots in 2005.

The MD90 arrivals will be staffed with a waterfall of displacements from the 747 / 777, 767, 737 & 320. Need 40 Captains / 20 FO's right away. Will eventually displace 200 pilots to staff the MD88 openings.

Any news on an Atlanta DC9 base? They were talking that MSP's pilots were needed in Atlanta. (Kinda makes me think about bidding the DC9 MSP and enjoying the credit time deadheading to my home town ... as well as being an ATL livin' green slip golden bouy.)
Come on over Bar, you can enjoy a summer to sweating to the oldies.

I have one vote.. just like you. I am no more a "large problem" in getting where we need to be than you are in creating disunity.

Default Scope, Alaska and Emirates.

DAL has watered and fed Alaskan for the last few years. They are flying our customers under the 'exclusive codeshare' deal. I guess the 'exclusive codeshare' is not so 'exclusive' anymore. Guess who Alaska signed up with to channel passengers to? Emirates! Alaska will now be supplying passengers to Emirates on their SEA-DXB flight. They are mainly targeting the Indian tech workers with this move. Emirates is hoping to get SEA-India passengers to fly SEA-DXB-India... the same passengers we take from SEA-AMS-BOM! Here is the link:
Emirates and Alaska airlines launch frequent-flier pact for first Seattle flights - Puget Sound Business Journal

We keep feeding and codesharing with everybody and in turn get f'd in the rear end. We don't have product control over Alsakan or anybody else. We must do our own flying. We warned about stuff like this happening in this same thread several years ago.

Never know, maybe just maybe DAL will step back and look at this and
re-evaluate this code share. T6 in LAX makes me think DAL is not interested in upsetting the apple cart, but when Alaska bites the hand.......
Maybe it is time to run some DAL 737 metal on the West Coast?
Naw makes way too much sense......SHeesh

Had this happen a couple weeks ago, and no you do not get an extra day off. Talked to a couple schedulers to get this figured out.. If you blocked in at 00:43, you go off duty 30 minutes later, so that would be 01:13. This entitles you to 01:13 on your next day of work, so instead of being able to get scheduled a trip at 6 am, the earliest you can get scheduled is 7:13, and the earliest short call you can get is 6:13. or if nothing is on your schedule by 3 pm they could call you 1:13 am for a 1:13 pm show. I was in about an hour past midnight, and they scheduled me for 8 am short call my next day on, which is what they would've given me anyway so it didn't help much.
