Lots of rumors out there of them getting seniority numbers, but I suspect that is coming from management. I know their CP's have been stating it. From what I can gather their Reps are in the dark on it, as I asked and they knew nothig of the sort.

how would that work? would they have to re-interview? a minimum of the face-to-face interview and the psych visit, I hope.

ASA/Expressjet is doing DAL's interview profile now. Others probably would just get a year of probation, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. It a rumor.

Fact is that if they gave then seniority numbers and they all agreed to a prenup with a SLI with us, we still would have to still go though the same SLI, single carrier status petition etc. Throw in a few rogue 20 year captains suing, and it could take years. All the while we are still effectively not a merged list, no joint contract, and they fly unlimited 76 seat jets unless we cap them until we have a fully resolved seniority list.

Watch out for theses types of things that lack details. We would still need protections in the interim to agree to it. The process still needs to take place, and without protections, our risk is great.

No recent information, but ACL & I surmised that SkyWest would be a player for whatever happened to Mesaba, which turned out to be Pinnacle.

What's interesting is that Delta loaned Pinnacle the money to purchase Mesaba. Then Delta jumped in and modified the contract to pay Pinnacle more money in response to the results of their increasing pilot costs.

In other words, Pinnacle was paid to take Mesaba. SkyWest must have looked at Mesaba for free ... and passed.

Delta management needs a sweetner to get this mess fixed. That sweetner is new NextGen CRJ900's, which is why they're going to try to run a contract to us, prior to traditional section 6. Our union's "opportunity" is that management needs scope relief.

Of course, I say, fine, as long as who ever flies the jets have Delta seniority numbers.

My thoughts on this stuff, why not Comair? Why not AsexpressjetA and if them then who among them? An Coex guys flowing to DAL without ever flying for DAL? Which is possible with Skywest too. And what about off the street and mil hires?

Why do I think these rumors are coming from the respective rj's and not the 4th floor or from those who have oil painting portrait aspirations?

As to getting worried about Skywest, sure one should worry. After RAHs Airbus ownership was given a greenlight by our lawyers their lattitude to grow is limitless until they accidentaly put a 77 seater on their DCI flying.

Some at Skywest say they have enough money to buy DAL and maybe they do but given those in charge at Skywest are surely doing quite well so why jump into a train wreck of global airline with no guaranteOed profit or free fuel?

Nah, you'd buy SWA just to dismantle it. :D

They may have the money, but they are getting killed by their 50 seat contracts right now. Any grey area in their CPA is geting exploited and as a result they are taking a bath.

On the ASA/Expressjet thing, their lists are still separate and they can do a flow prior to a SLI. Ugly but possible.

Sadly, you will not worry about MEM getting abused much longer.

Why have a scope sale in exchange for 717s? Did we need a scope sale to get the 739s?
