I like my "old" airplane. She's been good to me. Lands great. And I've only got a 2 hour butt now.

I think I had enough of using that empty spot on the 767 on the glare shield as a headrest with tears flowing from my eyes in boredom waiting to see if the little green circle fell outside the big green circle... 150 miles away. :D

Now I just don't see any circles. I don't see anything but the FD bars. I go where they tell me to go wherever that may be. ;)

queue asap/foqa team collective facepalm.

Wait, so we can checkin and say we have CPDLC like everyone else?!

I don't believe you. Since when have we opted for technology around here?

I for one liked flying the 75ER and having 0 offset and watching everyone pass us, and I do mean everyone, about 1-3 miles off our left side:

Just a thought here.

If we get flow agreements to take all Delta pilots from DCI, that drives up their costs significantly. Gordon Bethune hated the flow from CALEX to CAL for that reason. So we drive the costs up by taking the pilots, they have to hire more pilots to deal with the new FT rules, they can't find them due to the new 1500 hour rule. All this stuff drives up the costs at DCI. Eventually someone with a half brain will see it is stupid to outsource stuff to a place that costs more to do the work. I think that the 70-76 seat outsourcing will eventually get where the 50 seat stuff is now and we won't have to "give" anything to get it back.

Lots of stuff going to happen to DCI in the next 3-5 years that will make it ALOT more expensive to run that operation.

Try Connolly's. Great late night menu. Go with the boneless buffalo wings, stacked pretty high. Decent manhattan prices and a block from hotel.

I also heard that exact same thing, about 2 years ago. We'll see.

There's a great pizza place just east of Grand Central Station. Maybe Lexington and E43, somewhere in that area, 24 hour by the slice and really good.
