I think we have seen the true round of mergers starting. DAL was just a head of everyone by a year or so. It is going to get ugly and it will make all of us even happier that we are here, and not there.

I just hope we're not basing our business plan on one of those carriers going T/U. We've done that in the past, and all remember how that turned out.

It is my understanding that we are operating as if they will not go out of business, but are ready to react if one does. Hence the reasoning of allowing for such a large pilot over staffing not resulting in furloughs to date.

ACL or anyone who knows,

Where can I find the MOU or LOA that cleared up the no-furlough/flow through agreement. I don't see it on the DALPA website (library).

Thanks,

These were NWA LOA 2006-10 and 2006-12. They were carried over in their pure form from the NWA PWA. Hence the reason they are not in ours. Go look at the file library around the time of the JPWA announcement and look for the Attachment documents. They are in there. If you cannot find them I can send you what I have. In effect they are clear as mud, but do set up the process.

That issues has been sent out to the masses. Look at your bulletins on DBMS. You will need to keep a currency of two years in each theater. If you cannot do that, you will fly with a LCA or AQFO in to that theater to requal. In effect the frame work is there.
Even the ICLCP stated that we are going to a combined category, so I am not out on a limb stating that we are moving towards it. i stated it two years ago and that it would take three years. It appears that we are on that path. It is my understanding that the transition will happen at about 20-30 positions at a time.

We're supposed to read bulletins!

Thanks. I have those. I was just looking because I heard rumor (reported to have come straight from an LEC rep) that if the company furloughs more than 461 pilots, they have to park all but 55 of the 76 seaters. I have not read that before and was looking for a little background.

I am not worried about furloughs at this time, but wanted to get some facts.

Thanks,

ACL, you disappoint! I thought for sure you would know! Guys, there is good news forthcoming on the 15th. I can not go on a public forum with it but I was hoping that someone else got briefed and could maybe give out some information. Since, this news may affect stock prices it can not publicly be stated before the 15th. However, it has nothing to do with Perps.

Good to hear; thanks for the info!

A business plan should never include the word "hope"...

I did not say I did not know, I just said I would not post it here. Send me a PM and I will confirm or deny.
