Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
4. Use Foreigners
This guy, I know it sounds funny, but he'll do it better and knows how to hide money.
5. WarningDon't hire this kid:
Because Bedfo... this guy may use money from you to build his side business and compete against you. He may screw it up, but the next guy in Salt Lak... next guy may learn lessons from the previous guy and do it better.

Newsflash, Ray LaHood figured something out today ... old ladies can't drive. The number one causal connection to pedal misapplication accidents is being a postmenopausal woman.:
How I love my DOT twitter account.
"Possible explanations might include greater exposure by women where these crashes occur most often (parking lots); a poorer "fit" in their cars due to shorter stature, which may increase the likelihood of a pedal application error; or a disproportionately high rate of one or more functional deficits that contribute to pedal errors, such as neuropathy."
Genius. Guys always comparing rasm, casm, etc. The operation makes money, and increases the companies value or it doesn't. In many of these cases the pilots could have been flying for free on stolen jet-a and it still would have been a net loss to the company. You have to look at the whole picture including customer loyalty, quality control, and future value. Takes more than a actuarial degree and a free Tuesday night.
I'd like to see the total write downs on all things RJ from 2002-2012.

But there obviously is. And they have it. It's in the eye of the beholder on what the goal is but my bet is the goal is to hold down labor costs so they use whipsawing mechanisms. But I bet it's gotten out of balance and they're doing what they can to park stuff and get back to whipsawing being worthwhile.
Solution to Acela train.
Direct flights from the Hudson to the Potomac.
According to google maps, it's 180 nm from river to river and we'd be under 10,000' so you can probably skip all of the ATC delays for traffic going out over White or Elliot or what have you. TEC baby! And according to google a DC-3 with floats cruises at 140 kts.
So it's probably about the same as flying on the shuttle now on a normal day. Probably half the time when you consider the drive to LGA. And less than half when consider the drive and the DCI runs late because of a maintenance check that needs to be done at 11 in the morning but no fear we called the mechanic about 15 minutes prior to go, the mechanic is right around the corner, on the field even, should only take a moment, and then an hour later they just have you go to the next flight.
or just use this, you can buy it new:

Does Delta own the Marine Air Terminal at LGA? Pan Am was doing this type of thing in the 1940's...

You couldn't put anything in the water though, the bridge to Rikers and the ALS to 13 I think meet and cut off access. Not to mention no water access anymore.
According to maps.google.com
I'm applying. Looking for a place with career advancement opportunities--rather than the extended and indefinite stagnation here. Thanks again, DALPA.
