No, not really. Merely an attention grabber. 99% of those who read it in the last :30 minutes got that. Those who didn't? Well.............may need to take a look in the mirror.
I suspect those f/os never took the gumption to learn anything, from anybody. Why should they? The people I knew would understand the post-did. The people I suspected would continue to "out" themselves-also rose to the occasion. You are part of the 1%. Congrats. See you in another month or so to throw some levity onto the fire. Part of the 1%? Your ability to assess from a post is very impressive. - The guy who's fine dong a walk around while non-reving in uniform for the crew that is running a bit late to their next jet. |

I agree, I buy the first round even though I don't drink, but don't buy dinner. I will do a walkaround here and there, but nothing is set in stone. Never had an F/O complain about the walkaround-the FOM says that it's the F/O's responsibility. Have we got a bunch of "princesses" out West? JK :^)
I am not sure about princesses but anyone who reads even a few of the Delta forum on here is going to come to the conclusion that the average Delta pilot is one giant whiner! |

Why would you get bent out of shape with the 1/10 captains who don't "do their share"?
Can you elaborate as to the standard quota of walk arounds that constitute a "share"? This thread is starting to turn into a first officer entitlement gripe fest--when it's not operating as the commuting pilot gripe fest. It seems indicative of the people we have hired since 9/11. |

Growth airframes. That's funny right there.
They will get us to bargain for a status quo or even a shrinking fleet/headcount just for fleet replacement with smaller jets. I'm actually suprised they didn't come seeking concessions for the big 737-900ER order. |

I don't. There's no reason to. That why I wrote that I don't get bent out of shape. Who p***** is your Wheaties this morning?
On my equipment, at my station, the norm is 50/50. Thus, 50% is the "share." Your post really has me scratching my head. I basically wrote that most guys are a pleasure to fly with and you went ballistic. Here's a clip of some dude at his SWA interview. Laugh...haha...we're all happy again. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_ll...64bjo1_500.gif Jug the Peacemaker :) |
I flew the T-37 so I never blame the airplane for my screw ups. I jumped with a 320 North crew who were a couple of the funniest guys I've encountered in a while. The F/O said he does all the walk arounds because when he becomes a Captain he's not doing any! I flew the C-5 so I never had to do one walk around in 6 years. I was excited when I got to the 88 to actually see the outside of an airplane again.
Seriously as I type this Animal House is playing on the satellite and Kevin Bacon was saying "Thank You Sir, May I have another!" |
Jughead's right.
where is the peace pipe? now let's leave the 88's butt alone and review what RA said. and go back and take a second look at what the oracle said. oracle=acl |
