Oh yeah, rumor alert. Not related at all to the meeting, but I heard that US Air is negotiating directly with the AA pilots for Delta rates plus 3% with a 7 year fence for support in their takeover attempt.

Would be AWESOME for us in my opinion.

There's the time value of money, sure. There's holding out for a stellar contract that meets everyone's every wish, sure. There has to be some happy medium.

I believe what he was getting at was that they ended up getting nothing after all of these years and are going to take a paycut now.

(and 4 percent a year without some other incredible, stellar, amazing, out of this world contract improvements would be a no vote for me.)

25 years? I think that speaks volumes about the one sided nature of the RLA.

737-900 ETOPS... Oh the humanity:eek:

If they're getting ALL of them ETOPS, they must be headed for the Pacific. Air Mic, the Hawaiian Islands-- GUM base back in the works perhaps?

CDG-- AA,UA,US, Emirates, Singapore, Quatar,JAL, ANA all fly big equipment to their hubs... there's Orly too... Lots of O&D traffic that we should strive to capture with our network and AF partnership. Money to be made there.

I figured US would show the AA pilots the money. If they can back that up, I think they'll get a deal. But what about the pensions?

Yeah. It would be awesome. Also consider that if they can get our rates + 3% for never really putting together a successful merger (like we did), that we should expect a kick a$$ contract without having to wait 6+ years.

Actually, they stated hiring would likely occur as early as 2013 & as late as 2015.

Just curious, Did Mr. Anderson say anything about our Bankruptcy at Pinnacle and the 74 million dollars Delta is contributing to keep us running? We have 140 200's and they are the youngest 200's Delta has

I haven't seen Bama's pride so shattered since that cold November day when Cam and company rallied from 24-0 deficit to a 28-27 Auburn win.

oh yeah... it's been broughten.

When Delta management says "they" are going to take a market, it is worth asking if that includes "us." Reference the NYC slot swap.
