My take on that comment was; Its a jet engine, what's the big deal. Well, the room told him.

I also would love to see a current generation limitation on DCI. A sunset if you will.

I do believe that's one way to recapture scope. I think the union is headed the right direction on this. I like that they are putting language for turboprops in there as well. I'll fly a C172 at Delta as long as they pay me. Of course, I'd much rather see a CS300.

are all the pre-merger north FA's using icrew now? It seems like starting the lat couple of weeks, icrew can be extremely slow

IQ Training Credit & Pay Question? I just got my student schedule and it shows my training going on from the 1st to 26th of July, so it leaves 5 days at the end of the month. Am I effectively finished for the month or could the give me OE right off the bat? Also, if I bid, I know I get a shadow schedule and that is what my pay is, but what if I don't bid? Is there a 3:15 per day like CQ? Thanks

Anybody know which, if any, of the ATL commuter hotels has a laundry room we can use? Didn't expect two back-to-back trips with 15 hours in between.

OE scheduling is a world unto itself. I finished ER school on a Tuesday night, commuted home Wednesday morning and commuted back to ATL Thursday morning to start OE. Regarding pay: No. You will get a schedule (reserve or line, whatever you can hold) and get paid accordingly. Failure to bid puts you at the mercy of the computer.

I know that the Country Inn & Suites North has one, I believe the crew rate is $69. 404.767.9787

Perhaps my experience is atypical, but I've found the majority of regional guys to be scope hawks, and potential allies for major airline pilots in the fight to rein in scope. For those of us interested in a future beyond the regionals, our interests align with mainline pilots. Unfortunately, the interests of a growing contingent of regional lifers do not align with mainline pilots, and they tend to be heavily active in our unions & overrepresented on our MECs (see: Lawson, RJDC).

Sad but true.
