Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I'm guessing we won't even get a roll call.
RA is a smart guy look how he bargained for the MD-90's, slot swat etc. If we get money out of Delta we are going to have to fight for it. I don't get the feeling that 4-8-3-3 was much of a battle.
If one more 76 seater is given up and or the above pay rumor is close to true I think DALPA's days will be numbered. I hope that you're right erdude.

And then: "we can't change horses in mid stream here guys...negotiations for the next contract are right around the corner!"

I'll start off:
SWA = 0 (outsourced) 70 seat jets
The reason that the pilots keep approving this garbage is because DALPA hasn't published relative scope data in regards to the 70+ seat flying. The C44 presentation a year or so ago that sliced and diced 19 seat turboprops and 50 seat RJ's is not the problem. Oh, and by the way, the company really isn't parking the 50 seaters that fast. The last 44 meeting showed a slide that around 30 50 seaters have been parked in the last 2 years? Maybe somebody can make a chart and compare the number of 70 seat jets that have been outsourced between all of the airlines.
I'll start off:
SWA = 0 (outsourced) 70 seat jets

Hey Clamp, Johnso and acl...when we get to 99,997 or so, can you guys just move all non-Guard Dude posts to the Tool of the Day thread?

OK, when did these guys start meeting to talk about the TA. I've heard Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I've also heard they will be meeting thru the weekend until it is done. Someone else mentioned the MEC has seven days to mull it over before they are even allowed to comment. So here are my musings.
1. This deal is no slam dunk or else it would be out already
2. It is a very complicated agreement where total compensation needs to be briefed and put together in a way so our reps can regurgitate it to their councils so folks don't just hit the no button if the pay charts don't reflect some big numbers.
3. Since the union and company broke up into almost one v one discussions on each section of the contract, these folks wanted to put their own stamp on the deal so their were a bunch of small changes that need to be discussed with their possible implications.
4. It is a so-so deal but they are discussing the pros/cons of releasing it to a vote referencing the AirTran lawsuit and/or a possible DPA takeover.
or
5. It passed on Friday but the union reps just want to have a big party on our dues money like the one described in NY by the DPA literature.
Am I post 100k?

With inflation averaging 3% per year, isn't 4/8/3/3 more like 9/0/0?
