I started hating LaGarbage when Nixon was prez and bell bottoms were in. Then, relearned hating it on the EA shuttle. Recently reminded to hate it coming in from Munich, Customs was a disaster, followed by a tower controller who missed their calling as a Brooklyn cabbie.

I hope everyone gets where they want as quickly as possible. Given the environment we are in, perhaps that will occur. I was furloughed for 4 plus years, so while commuting sucks, reality can be worse. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, and truly hope you get to drive to work sooner rather than later!

No.
He was 100% dead on accurate.
I hate NY too. When Delta closed the BOS pilot base, most of the guys said, "I'll just commute to JFK and fly the ER."
I said, "Have fun with that, every time it rains, or snows, or any other excuse, you'll miss sign in."
I had already flown in/out of LGA/JFK/EWR for many years with cancelled checks and I KNEW how F'd up that place can get when the first snow flake hits the ground.
It's a mess on a clear day, now throw in a line of thunderstorms coming from the west, blocking the departures, now you are number 42 for takeoff. Or better yet, try to deice! How long will that take? Nobody knows!
Oh, and the Yankees still SUCK!

I was about 30-ish in the LGA conga line back during the PATCO strike one morning. We on the outer watching a AA B727 with its flaps all the way to F40. A closer check noted two techs with flashlights looking at the flap tracks. Another noted, "American been in line so long, he's getting a C check." Not much good, except you get paid by the minute.
At least, they got rid of the ski jump on 13 and the ILS 4 finally has mins lower than 400-3/4. The FAA Flight Check DC-3 crashed there one night doing a ILS check. They refused to lower the mins for decades. Back then, it was common for the ATIS to play "300-2, wind 040/10, ILS 04". Planes would land like clockwork, the most cheated on ILS anywhere.
LGA has trash flying on the ramps, prison next door with a trash dump nearby.

Speaking of the Yankees. The Baseball Hall of Fame has never had a player enter via the normal voting process with a unanimous vote - that might change in 4 years when Mariano is eligible.
Its a long shot, but I hope he gets a 100% vote - the best relief pitcher ever, and a total class act all the way. Either way a slam dunk first year pick, followed by Jeter the next year.

Went to the LGA employee cafeteria one night (Yes I am very brave), crowded, sat down with a TWA skipper, said he was going on a long planned vacation the next day. One hour later he was "Jacked" and on his way to Paris.
