Alternative to RST is failure!

Kidding aside, RST was well worth the money for the fidelity of test prep you get compared to what you see at actual interview.

Congrats on the interview invite!
I understand. I did purchase the RST a while ago and have found it more useful the more I dig into this interview process.

Maybe I could rephrase....a company that would compliment the RST study package.

Thank you.

Emerald Coast provides pretty good interview prep.

Emerald Coast, Lumosity, and a lot of gouge prep was my recipe.

I’ve got nothing against RST, but thousands were hired before its inception so it’s not the end-all-be-all solution to getting hired by Delta.

Luminosity is ok but RST has developed flash games that closely approximate the cognitive exams you'll see at Delta. That makes their service far more valuable.

The way I looked at it was if I didn't use RST and didn't get the job, how much would I be kicking myself afterwards? I saved $700 but lost out on literally millions of dollars in career earnings? Not a chance I wanted to take.

Another thumbs up for Emerald Coast. Well worth the money, especially if you can go to an in-person seminar.

They're not shy about telling you your story sucks, or how to make it better. Not in a "this is what you should say" kind of way, but in a "here's how to effectively tell your story" kind of way. It's what I needed. They also push you and make you feel the stress, which really helped on interview day, because you've already gone through it.

Definitely true, but with almost everyone using RST nowadays, I’d assume the average applicant’s “game” has gone up as well. Personally, I would rather spend my limited prep time with focused study through RST than try to cram all the source documents/gouge on my own. ECIC is outstanding for the face-to-face portions.

You’ve helped me prove my point. RST shouldn’t be the only way to prep for the Delta interview.

The guy who runs it has no connection to our Pilot Selection and all of his tools are essentially crowd-sourced. When Delta makes changes to their process, he’ll be behind and the risk of RST actually hindering the candidate goes up.

Again, I have no doubt RST is a good program and I’m all for capitalistic approaches to helping others. Good for him for finding a niche and profiting from it.

Lastly, this has nothing to do with money. I agree wholeheartedly that getting a job such as Delta takes a lot of investment in many ways. My overall point is RST should be one of the tools to help prep for the interview...not the only one.

I never said it was the only way, but it is the best and most comprehensive for the cog and knowledge tests. The one area it is lacking is the HR prep, and there are many reputable companies that can polish that part of your interview, either in person or via video.
