I was told the recs on airline apps don’t help you get the interview as they are only looked at once you have received the interview invite.

The Company completed the flight, the pilots are paid lucratively for their efforts, and the customer gets to their destination with less delays.
JMHO but I think next summer will be much easier due to no last minute extra flying due to MAX grounding, no JFK runway construction, and we'll be adequately staffed. Time will tell
