I don’t know if I agree that it looks bad that a BS took more than 4 years. While I don’t agree with it, there are many liberal arts schools that require 5 years. I would pay a application service for there accurate advice first. But also just answer the question with how many years of school you have had. And then list the BS or masters accordingly. Anything can be explained in interview. And I doubt that your app is scored from that part of it. Way too loose of a data point IMO. But pay for the service. Not worth giving up even a months seniority over the fee. GL.
BTW...I finished my bachelors in 3.5 years and that’s what I put. In the interview they asked how I did it and I explained. Non event. So the system didn’t throw my app out for not having “4 years” even though I had a BS. FWIW

And yes, if you take too long it looks bad, but I'd say it's over 5 years that they really look at it.

No. I am simply saying that I believe the question is looking simply for years of school. In my example, 3.5 years doesn’t normally equate to a Bachelor’s. Maybe an associates that took too long. If the point of the question was in fact to match “years of school” with typical degree than this wouldn’t have worked either. What about people that take 6 years to complete a Bachelor’s but it’s because there major changed and they transferred? Or double majored? Transcripts tell far more information and they will look at them. So I think the question is just a question. Not necessarily a scoring data point.

They also prefer aviation degrees. But this was in 2016, times and procedures could have changed to the scoring system.

My point is just that it can affect your score for getting an interview in the first place. Obviously you had a high enough one to get the interview and made the panel happy when you got there.
