So I assume you've read (and acted approproately to) the official, out in the open, DoD/Congressional EMP commission report that was out years ago?

Or is that just "conspiracy theory" stuff?

We have grown incredibly soft as a nation and as a people. Good times make weak men and we are soy'd up sheeple unprepared for almost anything now. Force multiply that with the insane "just in time shipping" open borders globalist supply chain mass insanity (like 97% of our antibiotics and 80% of all drug components being made in China as just one example), what have you done over the last decade or so to prepare for the statistically inevitable disruptive events besides dump money into 529's and other zeros and ones based "wealth"?

You've had your whole life to prepare for this, why aren't you ready?

LOL exactly. While I hope this turns out well for us (and I actually think it will, albeit with some amount of pain) its always fun watching the frolicking grasshoppers malign and deride the prudent preparing ants only to suddenly howl in entitlement for retroactive preparations of their own. OK soy boys.

"We", do you have a mouse in your pocket? Not a lot of soft folks living in my part of the country. That former Marine doing the 8 hour slab thing, forget about it.

my friend in pilot hiring there says they are still interviewing. the 3 march thing has been a moving target as of late over there. they hadn't had a class published beyond 3 march since a few weeks ago. So not sure how this all correlates. United is managing there accessions the way they see fit. I wouldn't read any more into it than that.

Not exactly. The LOA was a carry over from NWA getting scope relief for the CPZ operation and the large RJ's it allowed in the first place. That was a significangt scope concession on the part of NWALPA and their biggest achievement was getting the flow down to mitigate some of the negative aspects of it in the event of any additional furloughs. The flow up at the time it was negotiated literally applied to no one since those were new positions to be staffed in the future. The company got the large RJ's (35ish?) only because of the flow down. The flow up was just something nice to have. Even when it was terminated the flow down remained at that time.

This isn't another flow down, its the one currently in the existing binding LOA. There is no relief in that LOA absolving the company of it due to any successorship issues that I can read from it.

This is a very valueable part of te contract to simply let disolve for nothing in return. We need to press this issue and if we lose so be it. But 500 downside positions are very valuable if we need to use them, and still a valuable deterrent to even have to use them in the first place.

You honestly believe Delta would allow their mainline pilots to flow down to staff a regional that no longer flies for DCI and soon to only fly for one of their biggest competitors?

we definitely do not need to press the issue. If there is no contract with CPZ, there is no flow LOA. Wasting time chasing such a thing with union resources is downright silly.

Well if that's the case, we gave them something for nothing. That should be a lesson on scope gives. That's fine though since there will be no more SCOPE gives.

I was doing the 7 minute abs thing but once I found the 6 minute ab program it was the logical transition. There's a 5 minite ab program out there, but that seems insufficient.
