No, but I think they will be in a year. Mainly because, everyone tries to get hired on early in the cycle. They will take the first airline that hires them. With all the legacies hiring, and SWA/Fedex looking like starting up, it is likely that most of the top tier candidates will be gone.

Seniority is everything in this business, waiting around to get the carrier you want isn't smart.

Highly doubtful. Maybe true when the regional guys dry up and can't meet mins but military guys are always available. They have established dates they have to meet before applying and accepting employment. Guys will gravitate toward the company with the most promise. I'd bet, right now, DAL is among the top handful of destinations. We'll see.

I have no doubt that Delta is the top choice, but there is only so much training capacity. They don't gravitate towards the best carrier. You take the first airline that hires you.

Buzz you are simply just lucky that the Delta situation turned out as it did, it could have gone another way. Aviation is a roll of the dice.
