I've seen the products from both. I like what I see. Both do a great job. I personally get more from a 1-to-1 approach. Plus, since I will be interviewing at DL, I felt using a seasoned DL pilot who I have tracked for 2plus years was the right choice. Yesterday I did my prep and my decision was spot-on. Very happy with the method and product produced (I got dvd's of the session for review).

For my SWA interview years ago, I used Judy Tarver. Read my message and review my first paragraph.

The fact you plan to use a prep is the right choice. While some will complain about the costs, they really are minimal when you consider the investment return.
Golf swing coaches are expensive. The pros use them. Strength coaches are expensive. Pros use them. Career coaches, executive search firms are pricey. You get the picture.

Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving.
I did an Emerald Coast seminar, and listening to others mock interview helped trigger some experiences/perspectives I hadn't come up with on my own. EC is all FedEx crews, but it was a great seminar for any airline. Aaron (EC's founder) is prior-military so he covers that perspective well, and I would try to work with him. I don't think he's at every seminar so that's worth checking. Sounds like you can't go wrong with either EC or Aero Crew.

I agree with Blano and Vertigo. I have done Emerald coast and it was great. The experience of getting to watch 6-9 people mock interview gives you examples of what to do and not do. Plus it helps you think of stories you might not have thought of.
On another note I plan on doing a one on one sts with Aero Crew as well but right before my interview if and when I get the call. I don't think you can over prep for a 30 year $4-5 million career. However both are professional and great choices.
Best of luck.

Does anyone know if they are going to do two classes a month or one starting in January?

It's immaterial as it seems ALL the preps seem to be getting good reviews.

But I believe that EC has staff memebers that are employed by airlines other than FX.

Vertigo, Blaneo and TOGAANG, thank you for taking the time to reply. This is great information and I really appreciate it. No interview yet but I've been told it's likely soon and I want to prepare as well as possible if that materializes. I have been studying things such as Aerodynamics for Naval Aviators but I think spending money on an interview prep will be a drop in the bucket if it turns into an entire career. Thanks again for your time!

Hey for those of you who have been called for an interview: how long are they giving you between the initial phone call to setup the interview and when the actual interview takes place? Several weeks? A month? What? Thanks!

Depends on what's available and when you can make it. It was 2 weeks for me, I heard of other people having to wait 4-6 weeks.

2 weeks isn't much time to prep for an interview. I would actually hope I had closer to a month. But at the same time I don't know if I would pass up an interview slot in case they didn't offer me another one!
