I stated exactly what I just posted here. No where did anyone ever state there would be new hires in 2012. The plan was always to hire 100 to 150 pilots to staff the 717 training pipeline in 2013. The statement was that they would begin the hiring process in 2012. That always leads actual new hires by 4 to 6 months. You have to stand up the hiring process, hire people to staff the needed areas, select apps, interview, run required checks and finally get them into class. The good news is that by the end of 2014 the net number of pilots hired will end up being the same. We will just get more this year. The number might have actually gone up however the first 330 deliveries will not be in the first quarter of 15. They are now going to be in the second quarter.

According to JG in one of the base meetings, look for the new number to be announced late summer/early fall.

I got the "fix your app" email from DAL. It says my employment doesn't match my aircraft. Maybe has something to do with being qualified in 2 airplanes at the same time. Did any guard/reserve/military people get the same email? Does anyone know who I can talk to so I can figure out what errors to fix?

I received the same fix it email nearly a month ago. I have no clue what they are referring to (I'm non-military). I did have some aircraft combined on my app (C-152/C-172, C-182/C-182RG) so I went in and separated all of those into their own category. Wish I could help.

No didn't get one for that, mine was something else. Although, I am currently qualed in two different aircraft (Both Mil), and there wasn't any issue with that on my app. I think it might be related to your employment history or something to that effect. Recommend printing it off and going line by line to QC. You might catch something...

Not backpedaling one bit. I have said exactly the same thing on this subject from day one. Every post I have made is still available to read. Click on my name and read them. Find where I ever said anything different with regard to hiring.

I got a similar email from them previously. It basically asked me to provide justifications for quals and type ratings. I went into the education history and put down all my Air Force training programs (to include FlightSafety International programs the Air Force used for some of the training) and then in the note sections added info.

For example: St Louis Missouri FlightSafety International DC-9 initial training program. Then the dates. Then I put in the notes section something to the effect of "Initial Air Force C-9A training, ATP and Type Rating added during aircraft commander upgrade training".

Apparently it worked since during the interview they didn't ask a single question about my flight history, training or hours.

I confirmed this with pilot selection this week BSing with the ladies. They are closing up shop on April 25th if they don't get cleared to hire more folks. And no interviews in April. Next week is all SSP. So 1 more month to get hired as part of the first 300~

Are you referring to closing up shop on interviews for the remainder of the fiscal or calendar year? Or until they decide to hire more?
