All the sims in use at NATCO have been accomodated at the Kremlin. So, you're right...closing down NATCO didn't do anything to our training capacity.

I sure enjoyed it up there as well, though.

Yep. It was nice to be able to hit the cafeteria during a sim break.

edited for failing at quoting the right people.
None of what you say makes any sense at all. Most Captains are in their 12th year anyway, it doesn't matter one iota on an individual basis. I didn't major in math/statistics but unfortunately do have to layover in an HI every so often.

The issue is probably more one of trying to hire a pilot so they don't fall in the midst of a retirement bubble that looks like a snake swallowed a Volkswagen Beetle. Delta needs to level that curve without overtly engaging in age discrimination, JMO.

In other news an applicant that I recommended was told he needed to have a graduate degree & higher GPA. It appears Delta Airlines is once again engaging in an astronaut style selection program. It also says something of our being the flavor of the day. Had a SWA pilot on the jumpseat sounding a lot like he wished he was at Delta the other day.

The flow-ups didn't participate in an "astronaut style selection program."

Delta "Airlines?" C'mon Bar.

On a similar note, I have an AF2 buddy. He didn't make the cut.

All the guys I've recommended are taking jobs at American. Tired of waiting for delta to call. I wish them well, but wish they were here instead.

The flow-ups are Delta honoring a contractual agreement. Right, wrong, or indifferent, Delta made good on a promise, which in this day & age, I think shows a lot of class.

(Not a flow-up.)

Time will tell how that's gonna work out. I'm not sure I'd jump into that mess at this point. My son's little league coach has been at Eagle for 17 years. I think he'd persuade your buddies otherwise.

Agreed...I think there is plenty of uncertainty and potential bad news in their future. Trying to keep them open minded about what to do if Delta calls.
