This! If you have an application in, and haven't done an interview prep, you're doing yourself a HUGE disservice. I never dreamed the invites would come this quick. If you don't have time to get away, I did the Emerald Coast online prep and it was more than enough to get me ready.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I did the emerald coast early in the year and was luck enough to get the interview in the summer. I still had access to the emerald coast audio files, plus you can do an entire additional seminar when you get closer to the interview date - all included in your original fee. Furthermore, you can do the phone prep as a "top off" a few days before the interview.

In the end, I was glad I did the interview prep 6 months before I needed it, because it made the month that I had to prepare for the actual interview go much smoother.

You would think as many interviews as HR does, that they can spot Emerald a mile away. What it does show is a major effort on the prospects part to succeed. Big points...

Not really. Emerald doesn't coach you on how to answer, they help you see where you look like an idiot and how to present yourself professionally. Albie should have a school on just plain old people skills for pilots. I know the stuff I learned helped me in more than just interview skills. Recruiters know what he does and they don't care if someone has "prepped" for the interview.

I don't know how many prep companies tell you to open your intro by restating your name, but I felt like when I did so it made it pretty obvious that I had used EC for my interview prep. Even though I had no specific answers from going through their course, I'm sure my panel knew I had done so.

I would say it depends where you are planning on interviewing. For example, if UNITED, try Checkedandset | Employment consultant for airline pilots (the guy who used to run pilot recruitment there)

One of the specific questions I got during the interview is "Tell us what you did to prepare for this interview."

Part of my answer included that I did professional interview prep which helped me take my military experience and apply it to commercial aviation and the panel seemed happy with the response. If I were interviewing a candidate and asked them the same question, I would hope that they took some deliberate measures to help in their success.

Of note, one of the two guys that didn't get the CJO had not done, nor had he even heard of interview prep...and it showed.

If Delta is your goal then who would be best fit for interview prep for Delta?

Lots of guys who have prepped with EC and AeroCrew have gotten hired at Delta.

I did EC in 2006 for JetBlue and got hired. 9 months later I got hired at Delta. I wouldn't have gotten hired by either of them had I not done the interview prep. Albie does a great job at polishing up guys who think they look cool doing PA's from the cabin.
