Read his question. He's asking about LAX.

I didn't do a follow up e mail either. I honestly didn't give the "fix it" e mail much thought. At the time I assumed it was just a clerical drill, and my app was still buried under 9,999 other ones. I was completely floored when the invite e mail showed up 2 days later.

Has anyone recently been hired that got their degree online? Rumor has it that delta does not care for or like the online degree's. Anyone here the same thing?

If you had 2 equal candidates would you take the one with the online degree or the one who actually went to college for 4 years? Along with college comes a bunch of social experiences. Along with an online degree comes who knows what. For example, during my CFI renewal I am playing World of Warcraft.

I received a CJO with an online degree. I am prior USAF and got a Masters Degree in Military Science online. They didn't seem to have a problem with this at all. My Bachelors was from a traditional university though. YMMV.

My undergrad was half community college, and subsequently finished through ERAU online. More importantly than how I obtained it, I did it while serving active duty, and managed a 4.0 for the first 2 years and finished with a 3.7. I made sure to point this out during the face to face. My MBA was also online, but from a highly ranked program, and again, very high GPA, 3.9, while serving active duty. I think your ability to show drive, focus, and time management during an online degree far outweighs the full-time brick and mortar graduate who finished with a 2.7. Of course HR saw my GPAs on my app to get my foot in the door, but then I made sure I sealed the deal during the interview.

You just described your future FOs. Good luck.

And I better say it... it's a joke.

Has anyone been hired that did the UVU online program? I have heard guys that did online but then got a masters degree and they get the call but I don't think a civilian that only has a degree online or from UVU is getting an interview for now. It seems like they are single these guys out from getting the call.
