I've attached the best summary of the cog test that I've found. It's spot on.

Sounds very similar (identical?) to the ANAM testing that the AF makes its personnel go through prior to deployments to set baselines should that person have a traumatic brain injury while deployed.

I'm guessing one could just sign up for multiple ANAM testing sessions to practice leading up to their interview, and go over to Flight Med/Public Health and demand to see your results...

Default Videos of cog testing

I found this on the website of the company that looks like it develops the tests. I haven't interviewed yet. I'm just wondering if the videos on this page under the "test descriptions/examples" link are representative of what we may see on the cog test.

Thanks.

Are all of the tests in the above link included, or are there only specific tests?

like: "Delayed Recall" , "Number Memory" etc.

Just trying to focus the majority of my time on tests that are definitely included.

Spend more time on the interview and job knowledge test. I don't feel like you can really "study" for the cog test. You can watch the videos to get an idea of what to expect but just watching them isn't really gonna do much for you. I have taken the Delta testing 3x (interviewed at Compass and Xjet which do the same testing) and I would bet my cog test results are pretty close to the same.

Quick correction to the bolded part. XJT used to use the same testing--I interviewed there in Jul 2013, and the tests were identical to the testing at DL in Mar 2014.

However, just had a buddy interview there about two months ago. Sole testing is now a watered-down version of the knowledge test--I think he said ~45 questions.

Otherwise, I agree with crewdawg; a quick overview of the cog test is a great idea, just to give you an idea of what to expect, but "studying" for it isn't really possible or the best use of your time. Good luck to all!

Lumosity or Happy-neuron is a better "brain trainer".

If you watch the videos on the CogScreen link for familiarity (know what to expect) that's about all you can do to prep for those tests. Much of the test is hand/eye coordination and division of attention: keep the sliding bar centered while answering simple questions.
