Above is spot on about NYC. SEA....sort of. While past performance does not guar, etc, currently you can get to SEA in less than a year, assuming you get right plane out of indoc. C series an open question, but appear to be heading to SEA in next 1-2 years. That will probably be a very junior category. So dreaming of Seattle is certainly reasonable.
So let's just saw for arguments sake, one new hire did land SEA. Any tid bit on what a DL schedule is like? Do you guys bid pref, or lines? Would I commute in and work a segment then have time off or just a day or two off between shows?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Junior schedules on the 73N in SEA will start with a red eye and finish late in the evening on the last day followed by a few days off. If you are commuting from AK (ANC?) you could commute in same day and probably catch a red eye going home.

Bidding is Pref bid.

What is the average age of a Delta new-hire nowadays? Is 35 years too old for non-military? Are there older than 35 years who are non-military?

Believe overall average is still around 38 from the last ALPA thingy I saw. I'm 37 myself; new hire, no military experience and certainly wasn't the oldest of the civilian guys in my class.
