If no, what's a realistic timeline for either the 73 or C series out of SEATTLE.

Thanks.
Having a type won't help you hold any plane faster. Its all about seniority.

You're probably going to get a 88 to NYC. In which case, you can probably hold a 737 or C-series to SEA in a year once your seat lock is up.

Welcome aboard. Type rating doesn't mean anything now that you are here. You'll get all the training on whatever equipment you get assigned to begin with. Enjoy the ride, despite what you read on here it is gonna be great.

type ratings don't mean anything, and for the C-series seat locks dont matter. Since it will be a new category everyone on property is eligible to bid it.

If you can't hold the 737 in indoc, bid the 717. You will be able to hold LAX (and get SEA overnights) in short order and you can bid to SEA after your seat lock is up in a year. The C Series won't be here till the first part of 2018.

Welcome aboard.

When an email is sent to pilot selection, does that pilot receive anything besides the automated response indicting that the pilot being recommended should update their resume? I've updated my app 4 times in the last 2 weeks, just in case. Getting antsy. Next month will be 8 years since I first submitted an app.

Default New hire indoc question

On Monday I recieved the email from Delta with a class date. I had to confirm that my airlineApps contact info is up to date, but my account membership has expired. I haven't gotten any additional emails from Delta since, and I guess my question is how long did it take for people to receive more info from Delta? I.e. What paperwork to prepare for indoc, vaccines, etc. I Just expected to hear more by now. Thanks for sharing your experiences preparing for indoc

I haven't gotten anything when I've had recs sent in except one time I got an email saying I didn't have the required time. The person sending in the rec will get a form letter from pilot recruitment saying they received the rec but can't provide a response to the review. You won't get any kind of notification though.

You'll start getting emails about two weeks out with time, place, documents to bring, travel scheduling, etc. I think they use the email you provided in the paperwork session after a successful day 1 interview. There wasn't much time consuming prep like for the interview, so don't stress unless it gets to be 1 week out and you still haven't heard anything. Congrats and welcome!
