Meanwhile, they told us to expect 6 weeks in the pool, so when all is said and done it will be around 12 weeks from interview invite to indoc for me (hopefully)

I was sent the email at the end of July. I was offered an interview date 4 weeks out, but chose to take the 6 week option to give me more time to study while flying a busy summer schedule. I used every spare minute and was glad to have the extra two weeks.
Meanwhile, they told us to expect 6 weeks in the pool, so when all is said and done it will be around 12 weeks from interview invite to indoc for me (hopefully)

Does anybody know of any second career guys, non military, 40+ with competitive times getting an interview?
I'm getting crickets here after my fix it email in January of 2014, 2 job fairs, lots of quality volunteering, 2 different app review screenings, new type, several internal recs including several emails to the hiring board.
I just don't know what else to do.

Thanks. Great idea. But I have a fairly low ssn. First digit is a zero. I'm assuming MD88 out of NY.

They send your PRIA paperwork out the 2nd day of your interview. They can and will give you a class date before the full background check is done.
