Above is spot on about NYC. SEA....sort of. While past performance does not guar, etc, currently you can get to SEA in less than a year, assuming you get right plane out of indoc. C series an open question, but appear to be heading to SEA in next 1-2 years. That will probably be a very junior category. So dreaming of Seattle is certainly reasonable.

Believe overall average is still around 38 from the last ALPA thingy I saw. I'm 37 myself; new hire, no military experience and certainly wasn't the oldest of the civilian guys in my class.
