As others have stated, you may have to consider going to a regional or elsewhere for a few months to get the currency and the hours. However, having said that, if DAL is your only choice, it is a gamble as to whether you will get a call or not, and if you do, get an offer.

Flying recency
Hoping for some advice. Am a current military pilot with about 3700 hrs total jet time, but haven't "flown the line" since 2010. I have been flying for the last two years, but essentially as an additional duty and only logging 30-40 hrs per year. Thoughts on competitiveness? Thanks!

Not very. Need 100 hours in the last year for your app to get looked at unless you are a sq/cc or higher

Your app will get looked at regardless of your flight time. However the hiring people have previously stated they want you to be current (100hrs in last 12 months). I know of people who weren't quite there getting the call to interview. Make sure your application is spotless and do the best you can to get that 100 hrs per year.

I have about the same hours as you, but am current (retiring now), and I got a fix it email. So, don't screw up something small like I did and blow your chance.
You may need to do a bit at a regional to get the call, but definitely have the apps in.
For what it's worth, I'm starting at Endeavor in June. Hopefully it'll be a short stay. We shall see.
