DAL Poolie Info

Just to clarify what I believe G2B is saying, the seniority of newhires will not be far behind pilots hired in 2000. Your advancement will be in close proximity to those pilots hired in 2000 which is about to start some upward momentum (finally).
I do not believe G2B was implying that you could expect to have a similar career as a pilot hired in 2000 which would involve a furlough.

Thanks. Good to be in the queue.
Speaking of the queue...anybody gotten a cleared to train notice, or did DAL stop doing those? I guess the "Conditional" part of the offer will remain until we physically get a call for class dates.
I wonder if that unknown pushes any of the guys with multiple job offers to UAL who might otherwise have waited a month or two for DAL.

Baja,
Once the training department gets spooled up 750 is the lower end of our capacity. Not only did we hire 1000/year as a stand alone Delta in the late 90s and 2000 but SD put out these numbers during the base visits:
We could sustain 60-70/month minimum for years, with a surge capability at slower times. 60x12=720, 70x12=840, so with a few surge months above these numbers 1000/year should not be a problem.
Not to mention when they really want to train in a hurry they will contract additional simulators to boost capacity even more.
For all the base visit info go back and look at the DAL Latest and Greatest post 127487 from March 28, 2013.

Heard there is an FAA english endorsement that is simple to add to your ATP license. Does anyone know if Delta requires this for the interview? Local FSDO is over an hour away and been trying for over 3 weeks to get them to return my calls since they only schedule appointments one day a week to process the paperwork.
