Based on that, the pool runs dry in July! I find this hard to believe. How many poolies am I missing?
After the June 16th class is filled, there should be about 25 left in the pool+ those who deferred

Jumped in the pool on Mar 11, climbing back out for the 16 Jun class. Stoked!

Good questions about seat/equipment/base locks. So, if I'm understanding the answers correctly, there are NO base locks? That would argue toward bidding the equipment you want ahead of the base you want, yes? How often/quickly would a new hire expect to be able to move? Is that part of the monthly bid?

Also want to be a sponge on any answers to gr8vu's commuter question--I'm in Kansas City. ATL seems the clear winner, based on number of daily flights, but I feel ill-equipped to weigh all the intangibles about speed of seniority increase, etc. Of course, this ties back to the first question about equipment vs. base. I have a middle-of-the-road SSN....

Look forward to seeing the 16 Jun class!

If they continue to hire at least 50 a month a new hire should be able to change between DTW, ATL and NYC virtually at will. Other bases should be available in 6 months to a year with the exception of SEA since it has no narrow bodies.

Follow up question on bases and equipment. Does anyone know the rough size of NYC for 737 and 320 FOs. Not looking for exact numbers - just a ballpark.

Great news, thanks! Is that base move part of monthly bidding, or a separate bid (and how often)?

Bids are at the companies discretion. Running a bid every 6 weeks or so at the moment. Contractually a position must be offered via bid before it can go to a new hire.

Wow. This is a big problem if they're trying to put 100 in class in July. Ill rerun that excel based on 25 poolies after 6/16, but that means the CURRENT pool definitely dries out by July, of course interviews still ongoing so ill try to get those numbers. Im still trying to get better flow numbers as well (added 18 more Mesaba flows). Based on time required to get cleared to train, this could be the limiting factor for filling classes.

Did any poolies here get the call for an interview with a First Class medical that was more than 6 months old (and you're under 40)?

I keep hearing that having one less than 6 months old helps but don't know why since it's legal for 12 months for us youngin's.
