It's a contract thing. You can't put a new-hire into a position, any position, until you've offered that position in an AE and it remains unfilled. Whenever they offer ATL 320 B positions, the NYC 320 B pilots pick them up, leaving unfilled NYC 320 B positions. That is then the only 320 B category into which they can put the new-hires.

It's no skin off the Company's nose to let a pilot transfer from NYC to ATL and put a new-hire into NYC instead of ATL.

Well, that didn't work out very well, apparently your wife thinks I should recommend something out of the Blair or Haband catalog,so that you will end up with Japanese "bound foot" syndrome. A post office box sorta looks good right about now. Yes? All you poolies take note of possible future problems with your CFO. Old Irish proverb; "Never short yourself on shoes or a bed, if you are not in one you are in the other."

With the pool drying up, I have a personal request. Will people in the know please keep posting class sizes and drops? There's still a pool of sorts, and we get very little information regarding class'.
Thanks in advance for those of us still swimmin.

BRING A LAPTOP TO CLASS! Not a mac, not a tablet. Hotel computers don't work the memory sticks neither do classroom computers.

747-400 ATL (one day) ... probably 717 and md88, but really any narrowbody works well for living in base since being on reserve is not a big deal when youre sitting it from the comfort of your home.

Yes but it stinks. Bogs the Mac down.

Bootcamp or Parallels... Or something like that. Google it for more info.
