I think based on the info that's out there, only 16 or so DTW vacancies have been offered to new hires thus far in 2014 so it was expected. Hopefully youll get one of those 73n slots. I just submitted by bid for a320/73n/717/m88 in that order, but we all know I'm getting whatever's left over. I think im projected to be 47/50 in seniority. Im gonna be a real pilot again... a mad dog driver

Thanks for everybody's input. I'm going to prioritize my preferences based upon equipment, not base (especially since we are relocating to ATL in a year or so). Hoping for the bus...

Isn't ATL 320 considered relatively "senior" in that a new hire in that category will probably be on reserve for probably a long time? I'm trying to gauge too what the best a/c choice is for a commuter to ATL.

Somewhat. When you look at the list though, don't lump all "new hires" together. Those hired at the front of the wave may progress rapidly to lines or weekends off while those at the end of the spurt could be bottom reserves for a while as seniors perpetually bid on top of them. It just depends. For now the 717 and 88 are the best paths to relative seniority advancement IMHO.

If there is an AE during your class, you'll be able to put in a bid. We had a bunch of NYC guys move to ATL on week two of Indoc after the last AE came out.

DTW717 is a long shot. I think its will closure will be announced in the next 3-4months, if there is not a new vacancy opening positions beyond the current 35 or so crews.

What? Close DTW 717? Or am I misinterpreting what you're saying?

You do realize we don't even have half of all the 717s we are getting. I wouldn't expect DTW to plus up until more planes come online and ATL is finished growing.
