It's good for the first class, bad for the rest of us. The rest of us lose seniority if they backfill. And have to wait longer for better schedules, upgrades, more money etc.

Here's some updated forecasting for anyone interested. Input to augment accuracy is appreciated.

I think there are still 20-30 recalls in the Jan 6 class. So with the 24 off the street there should be about 50 bodies in class in January without the Compass guys/gals.

With the amount of retirements coming, those hired in the next 2-3 years are going to see a tremendous amount of upward movement.

I agree, we are all just being greedy at this point. That and being a little frustrated with our company, when they've known this was coming for 7 months.

Surely you can't believe that they would have been proactive!

Well those of you being held back will definitely be able to bid on an AE before making it on property. Assuming that is legit with the new 1 year seat lock. Not sure if you do it before attending training if it is ok or not. If so you get 2 shots at getting the a/c or base you want.

Welcome to all the new souls! We are definitely in need of some warm bodies.

Any rumblings of a new category opening in SEA given all the growth?

Check the questions and answers put out last month by crew tracking. Nothing planned for SEA. Looks like NYC will get a 330 and 717 base and msp a 737 base in the next 2 years.
