Has anyone who got offered the 17 Feb Indoc date actually received an e-mail packet from Delta? I received the phone call, but no e-mail as of yet...

My guess is it's a combination of factors with 717 and 737-900 deliveries along with some retirements, increased usage of aircraft already in the fleet, a delay in aircraft retirement and picking up DCI flying that is coming back to mainline (tied to the 717 deliveries).

Anyone know what the (S) means on the Pilot bid awards under reserve. I see some guys have this symbol on certain days and some do not.

Nothing here. I talked to a friend this morning in Feb 2 class and he didn't receive his until 3 weeks out. So, maybe sometime this week??

Shadow period. Trips awarded but the pilots won't fly due to not being qualified yet waiting for OE

The (S) means "Shadow". After you finish Init Qual, you enter a 2-week shadow period. This 2-weeks is for you to accomplish your OE. Essentially, you bid a line (or reserve) and whatever falls in that shadow period doesn't really count. Whatever is leftover after your OE is complete, is what you fly for the month.

Drop for 2/2 is roughly the same as the last few. All NYC, pretty equal amongst 7ER, 73N, A320, M88. Less for the 717 (only 10)
