Wow. All NYC again. Is this the new standard? Anyone have any insight as to when the next AE is going to be?

With all the movement, the majority of vacancies are NYC. I think you can anticipate the majority/entirety of new hire assignments to be NYC, with the possibility to move very quickly to other bases, perhaps even before you get to OE.

AEs seem to go about every 6 weeks. I'd bet the next one comes out mid-Feb.

I have a friend starting next month. I've given him my opinion as to the fastest movement out of NYC to DTW, but am interested to hear other opinions. (Assuming 737, 320, 717, 88, and 7ER are offered.) QOL and fastest way to DTW are most important to him. Thanks!

quickest way may be the 717 if west coast flying is flown from DTW.
DTW has been stagnant on the last couple of AE. No ER backfill, no growth just minimal back fill on the 717,737 and 320.

Junior guy in DTW is a 9/14 hire on the 717 based on the latest AE. Since then Delta has hired more than 400 guys.

That was my initial thought when hearing the west coast announcement. However, DTW 717 has not been offered for quite a while on AEs. With so many going to NYC, I have to believe anyone living in the midwest or maybe some on the west coast who are NYC 717 are looking to bid out to ATL or DTW as soon as that is offered. Just worried they will do a one time AE for DTW 717 ramp up. Whereas the 73N and 320 might have a steady trickle to DTW for awhile???

Can someone please fill me in as to when travel benefits for families start. Here is my situation. I need to move my mother to assist my wife with the kids during the first week of training. I am bringing her to my home the day before I resign on my old airlines pass. Curious if I need to plan on purchasing her a ticket back home or do pass privileges for families start right away. Thanks in advance.

Pass travel starts day one... If you fill out the paperwork and pay the fee. Then it's maybe 24-48 hrs for the info to clear the travel list.

So if mom flies on old airline pass before you resign, she will be able to fly DL at the end of your first week. If you fill out the info (which you can do day one).

Is the maddog still the best bet to get back to ATL quickly from NYC? Any word on movement in the ATL 717 category with seat locks expiring?
