It is in the SSP agreement.

Just got the interview invite - any recommendations for hotels? Can't find any recent posts on the subject. Comfort Inn and Wellesley were mentioned years ago, but they get horrible reviews online.

I used the Hampton Inn for $$ reasons. Many people use the Marriott Courtyard because you can walk.

Marriott Courtyard and Hilton are within walking distance. I stayed at Hilton but of course paid a little more (which in the end was a small percentage of what I paid to interview w/interview consulting, study material, suits, etc.). I walked both days, although they will shuttle you there. Don't forget to get whatever discount you qualify for (military, etc.)

I used the Courtyard and walked it. Very convenient. Other guys used the Hilton and its also walkable. Its really just a place to shower and shave cause you're not gonna be able to sleep peacefully anyway.

True story. Got maybe an hour or two of actual sleep. Everyone on my interview day had the zombie look. Good thing they have coffee waiting for you!

BlaneO

I'm retired USAF as well and was hired in '01. Spring for the Hilton, get a good night's sleep in a nice bed, and walk the two blocks to the interview. It's well worth the new career you're getting ready to embark on. Don't scrimp. Be refreshed and eager. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

Good luck! You're gonna love it!

It's also in the SSP agreement that any pilot participating in the SSP will meet Delta minimum hiring requirements, but somehow pilots are getting hired through the SSP with nothing more than a high school diploma.
